My Project365 prompt today was “MY FAVORITE COLOR.”   Wow, I was really conflicted about what to shoot.  Afterall, it’s summer and Pennsylvania gardens are bursting with gorgeous reds, pinks, salmons, oranges, purples, yellows, and oh so many hues in between.  But, I have to say, after taking a number of photos today, I felt none of them could compare to the variegated blues I captured in my photo of the Caribbean.

As our plane approached the Bahamas, I watched the waters of the Atlantic turn from a dark, deep blue into a mesmerizing mix of greens and blues.  I had NEVER seen anything like this before.  Cerulean, teal, turquoise, and ultramarine are only a few of the colors that come to mind.  Vacationing in the Outer Banks and along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, I can honestly say I never witnessed such a gorgeous mix of colors.  The sparkling shades of blue were only enhanced by the sugary white beaches and the lush greens of the native trees. No wonder people refer to this area as Paradise. Its unique waters are healing to both the mind and the spirit…
